DeleteIt must feel so nice to have your work published. I liked all three of these poems especially Off-Course as I have done that often when out hiking!
ReplyDeleteThanks for that! Who hasn't done it? A friend and I have often talking about going hiking without maps or compasses at all (well, perhaps tucked away for safety, but not out), just driving off (without a road map, even) to a place where we know no names for any hills or anything and just walking. There is the safety issue which needs some thinking about, but in my experience, so much hiking can be too much about objectives dreamed up on a map.
